2016 BMW ICOM NEXT A vs. ICOM A2

Last few months, uobd2 engineers were struggling for ICOM A2 firmware adaption. And now, the new generation is released, called “BMW ICOM NEXT A”. Here are some specific information of ICOM A 2 and ICOM NEXT to help you tell the difference between them.

Both ICOM A2 and ICOM Next A can work with the same software ISTA-D ISTA-P for the same BMW vehicles. But they are kind of different from some aspects, especially firmware adaption. Here is some highlights of ICOM NETX after hardware update with high-quality PCB:
