What is OBDPROG Key RT used for?

Key RT is one key renew tool for a wide range of car key chip, it can be used repeatedly.

Support Windows7 8 10, USB2.0/3.0 communication.

 

Open OBDPROG Key RT package and have these adapters:

Tips on using OBDPROG Key RT to renew key.

Key RT box connects to the computer via the USB cable.

If you renew the original key, use W001. Connect Key RT box with the original key.

If you have no the original key, you could use chip board to weld the chip.

Connect the Key RT box to renew by following the next wiring diagram (1).

 

Select the chip

1). Key renew window controls include: support model catalog, key appearance and wiring mode picture window.

 

2). Supported chip type: PCF7341, PCF7345, PCF7941, PCF7945, PCF7952, PCF7953, PCF7961.

 

Part 1: Kia V2 (PCF7953) Key Renew procedure with OBDPROG Key RT



Step 1. Plug OBDPROG Key RT to the computer using one USB cable, then connect Key RT power connector until the indicator light flashes red indicating Key RT successfully connected with PC.

 

Step 2. take one Kia V2 (PCF7953) Key.

 

Step 3. Open the Key RT software and find out Kia wiring diagram.

Select “Kia” -> “V2 (PCF7953)” -> “Method 1” -> “Method 2”.

 

Step 4. Connect the chip by following the wiring diagram

1). Weld W001 and the key chip.

2) Select the PCF adapter.

3). Connect PCF adapter to Key RT.

4) Connect W001 and the PCF adapter.

 

Note: ensure the circuit is connected.

 

Step 5. Renew Key

Back to the OBDPROG Key RT software, click on “Reset“.

It will soon run to 100% means key renew successfully.

Exit the software.

Part 2: Alfa Romeo V2 (PCF7941) Key Renew procedure with OBDPROG Key RT

1). Select Alfa Romeo V2 (PCF7941).

2) At the right area, it will display the key outlook.

Select Method 1 or Method 2, you will view the specific connecting method, the following 1st image shows the wiring diagram and the 2nd image shows the clamping method.

3) Renew operation: click on “Reset”, it will complete quickly.
